Mary Parrott Henkler

Mary Parrott Henkler, 91, of Goshen, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born July 19, 1931, in South Bend to H. Ray and Mabel Grace (Brown) Walker.

On November 30, 1952, she married Edwin E. Parrott.  He died April 15, 1988.  On March 25, 1995, she married George R. Henkler Jr.  He died April 30, 2008.

Survivors include two children, June (Peter) Mierau of Alamo, California and Dale (Debra) Parrott of Goshen; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a brother, Edgar (Mary) Walker of Cromwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a grandson, David Parrott and three brothers, Garfield, Howard and John Walker.

A graduate of John Adams High School, Mrs. Henkler retired from CROP International, Elkhart.  She previously attended Albright United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 3 p.m. funeral service will be conducted.  Rev. Anthony Parrott, grandson, will officiate.

A private burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery, South Bend.

Memorial donations may be given to Elkhart County Humane Society.
