Mary J. Greiner, 86, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in her home.
She was born September 18, 1929 in Berlin, Ohio, to Martin and Helen (Correll) Yoder.
On May 18, 1952 in Middlebury she married James K. Greiner. They were married 62 years before his death on April 14, 2014.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Dennis) Richmond of Goshen and Cynthia (Brian) Willis of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Cameron (Meg) Richmond, Whitney (Steve) Richmond Miller, Landon Richmond, Ben Willis and Brenda Beagle; three sisters, Martha (Charles) Yoder, Ellen (Morris) Schrock and Connie (Virgil) McNeal; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Eric K. Greiner and a brother, Terry Yoder.
Mary worked as a secretary in travel and banking businesses. She especially enjoyed time with family, knitting and sewing.
In May 2016 she was awarded a volunteer service award for 4,000 hours from IU Health Goshen Hospital.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
