Mary S. Graber Gawthrop

Mary S. Graber Gawthrop, 86, of Goshen, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Syracuse-Millers Merry Manor.

She was born March 25, 1936 in Miami County to Rudy and Sarah (Yoder) Kaufman.

She married Jim Gawthrop on December 31, 2016.

He survives along with three children, Doncella S. (Jeff) Sheline, T. Jay Graber, Jr. and Kevin D. Graber all of Goshen; three stepchildren, Jama (Kerry) Keaffaber of LaGrange, Jennifer (Greg) Meents of Monticello and Jon (Brenda) Gawthrop of New Paris; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and a sister, Viola Blanchard of Brooksville, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Therman Jay Graber; a daughter in law, Dana Graber; a sister, Rhea Biddle and two brothers, LaVerne and Ray Kaufman.

Mary worked in the Elkhart County Extension Office, she was a long-time member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church. She was now attending Nappanee Missionary Church, she

loved crafting and was a giving person.

Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Jason Rohde will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery, Goshen.
