Mary Ann Folker, 73, of Syracuse, died Saturday evening, November 5, 2005, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born July 22, 1932, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Stanley A. and Stella E. (Smith) Meyer. In 1984 she married Richard Folker. He died in December 2004. Mrs. Folker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Goshen, where she helped with the Lenten lunches. She attended the University of Illinois where she was a majorette and “Golden Girl” in the marching band. She also belonged to the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy (David) Pratt of Plano, Texas and Lori Burt of Brecksville, Ohio, one son, Stan (Juli) Burt of Elkhart and two grandchildren, Conner and Jordon Burt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and a sister, Peggy Lou Meyer. Friends may call from 1 to 2:30 pm, Tuesday, November 8 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 2:30 pm, Tuesday, November 8, 2005, funeral service will be held at the funeral home. Rev. Alan Griffin of the First Presbyterian Church of Goshen will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, St., Louis, Missouri with the Rev. Dr. William Hancock officiating. Memorials may be made to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
