Mary Evans

Mary P. Evans, 78, of Bristol, died Monday, March 29, 2021 at Signature Healthcare, South Bend.

She was born June 2, 1942 in Fort Wayne.

On June 18, 1961 she married Dennis D. Evans in Elkhart. He died Nov. 6, 2009.

Survivors include two sons, John (Amy) Evans and Todd (Dawn) Evans, both of Bristol; and six grandchildren, Andrew, Kate, Nicole, Anna, Paige and Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice (Coddens) Alverson.

Mrs. Evans worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal system as well as raising her family. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

The family is honoring Mary’s request that there be no viewing or service. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp crematory.
