Mary Catherine Elizabeth Heagney, of Birmingham, England and originally of Goshen, died Friday, February 20, 2015, at Birmingham. She was born in Goshen on November 27, 1945 to Daniel Joseph Heagney and Phylis Marie (Shanahan) Heagney. She married her loving husband David F. Bromage on July 19, 1991 and they moved to Ross-on-Wye, England, UK. She will be profoundly missed by her four sisters, Kathleen (and late husband Marvin) Ramage of Ridgewood New Jersey, Carol (Kenneth) Laskowski Raleigh, North Carolina, Janet Heagney of Rochester, New York and Joyce (Randy) Paredes of Goshen. She was also a devoted and loving aunt, great-aunt, Godmother, teacher, counselor, and friend. Mary Catherine attended St John's Catholic School and then Ancilla Domini High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Majors in History and Elementary Education. She taught at St. Mark's school in Gary and then in Rochester, New York. She then became assistant V.P. of Cal-Fed bank in Rosemead, California. Upon her wedding and subsequent move to England, she found her real life's passion in antiques. She applied her love of history to her new surroundings, and became skilled in identification and authentication of antiques. Mary Catherine's intellect, wit, and remarkable ability to communicate made her a source of wisdom and guidance for all who knew her. She was a constant advocate for the less-fortunate, giving selflessly to family, friends and strangers alike. Our extraordinary "M.C." leaves this life too soon, and will be held forever in the hearts of the many people whose lives she impacted. Family and friends may call Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and on Monday, March 16 from 9 to 10 am at St. John's Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will follow Tuesday, March 17 at 10:00 am, at West Goshen Cemetery.
