Goshen – Mary J. Douma, 84, died Friday, Oct. 2, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born April 27, 1936 in Goshen to Elvin and Lois (Kauffman) Douma.

Mary is survived by brothers, Byron (Bee) Douma, New Paris and Jan (Cindy) Douma, Geneva, Florida and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Ellen (Petgen) Douma.

Mary was an active member of Rock Run Church of the Brethren.  She served on the board of Sonshine Day Care, Millersburg, and would read books to the children.

She began her professional life in a finance and credit institution that was absorbed by National City which paved her way into the banking industry.  Mary retired as a teller from PNC.  She was a member of Credit Professionals and served as the secretary.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Tim Waits will officiate.  A time of visitation will take place half an hour before the memorial service and again after the memorial service.

A private graveside service will precede the memorial service.

Memorial donations may be given to Rock Run Church of the Brethren or Heifer International.

The family is requesting all COVID 19 guidelines be followed at the funeral home.
