Mary L. Coy

Mary L. Coy, 62, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, September 19, 2009, at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on November 25, 1946, to the late Marion Collier and Bonita (Brubaker) Collier of Pierceton, Indiana.  She married Richard Coy on May 6, 1989, in Goshen.  He died August 27, 1993. A Goshen resident since 1989, Mrs. Coy had worked at KMC Controls in New Paris since 1989.  She had also worked for 18 years at Precision Plastics in Columbia City.  A 1964 graduate of Pierceton High School, she was a member of the Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen; Eagles 1906 Columbia City; Widowed Persons Service , Elkhart County; and the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her mother; two daughters, Lisa (Joe) Sharp of Roseau, Minnesota, and Melody Hartman of New Paris; two step-sons, Tom Coy of Millersburg and Ron Coy of Florida; four grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Don) Boggs and Luann (Brad) Dunlap, both of Larwill, Indiana; and a brother, Robert (Sheila) Collier of Larwill, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, her father and a sister, Janet Collier. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 12, noon, and 2 to 5 p.m., Thursday, September 24, at the funeral home. A 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor John von Lackum of United Church of Christ will officiate. Her body will be cremated and cremains will be buried at a later date in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.
