Mary Brallier

Mary Brallier, 103, died at 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen.  She was born on April 28, 1905, to Peter and Mary (Gingerich) Knepp in Loogoote, Daviess County, Indiana. She married Loren J. Brallier on March 31, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1970. Mary worked many years at American Laundry. She was also employed as a personal caregiver for a number of years. She was the longest continuous member of the North Goshen Mennonite Church. She is survived by two nieces, Arline Bontrager of Goshen and Joan (Melvin) Yoder also of Goshen; seven nephews, Karol (Anna) Knepp of Bristol, Lamar (Marsha) Knepp of Ocala, FL, Simon (Karen) Knepp of Coldwater, MI, Hubert (Kathleen) Bontrager , Devon (Esther) Bontrager, and Mervin (Sharon) Bontrager all of Goshen, and Glenn (Clara) Bontrager of Venice, FL. She is preceded in death by one sister, Ida Bontrager; three brothers, Amos Knepp, Simon Knepp, and Ora Knepp, who was killed by lightning; and three nephews, Donald Bontrager,who was killed in a truck accident, Lester Knepp, and Wilbur Knepp. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2009, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:00 a.m. memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at the North Goshen Mennonite Church with Rev. Dean Linsenmeyer officiating and assisting,Tim. Burial will be at West Goshen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to North Goshen Mennonite Church.
