Mary Ellen Bontrager

Mary E. Bontrager, 65, Goshen, died Sunday, March 21, 2010. She was born in Kosciusko County, April 11, 1944, to William J. and Sylvia (Schlabach) Yoder.  She married William Bontrager on October 29, 1966.  He died March 31, 2008. Mrs. Bontrager was a member of Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Maple City Trotting Bread Association and Secret Sisters’ Society. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl D. (John) Ward, Goshen, and Mickie C. (Kevin) Welch, Millersburg; step-daughter, Jan (Ralph) Teel; two step-sons, Ronald (Kathy) Bontrager, and Harold Ray Bontrager; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Marvin W. (Mary Ellen) Yoder, Jerry W. (Dorothy) Yoder, Raymond W. Yoder, and William (Charlotte) Yoder, Jr. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m., Friday, funeral service at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Rev. Terry Diener will officiate. Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery, Topeka. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
