Mary Alice Beecham

Mary Alice Beecham, 91, of Goshen died Monday, March 18, 2019 at home.

She was born December 29, 1927 in Osceola to Roy and Mary (Long) Swihart.

On December 20, 1953 she married Earchle M. Beecham in Jackson, Mississippi.

Survivors include a son, Bryan (Kathy) Beecham of Goshen; two grandchildren, Bill (Hope) Ragsdale and Paulynn (Jonathon) Brock; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Kauffman of Goshen and Clara (Bud) Hammon of Elkhart; and two brothers, Roger (Mary Jane) Swihart of Quinter, Kansas and Bill Swihart of Elkhart.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry R. Beecham, and two brothers, Robert and Norman Swihart.

Mrs. Beecham was a secretary at Mehl & Mehl, Attorneys for Law, Goshen for 50 years. She enjoyed attending Riverview Baptist Church, Elkhart and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mary Alice had many interests including, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, flower gardening, and going out to eat with friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 22, 2019.  Rev. Terry Gunderman, Dunkard Brethren Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Faith Mission, Elkhart.
