Mary Jo Beck, 75, of Goshen, died Friday morning, June 5, 2009, at Greencroft Healthcare.  She had been in declining health for the last several years.' She was born in New Carlisle, Indiana, on March 7, 1934, to Joseph and Helen (Olson) Hostetler.  She married John C. "Jack" Beck on June 22, 1952, in Granger.  He survives. A homemaker, Mrs. Beck was previously a co-owner of Twin Pines Mobile Home Court and a former member of Business and Professional Women, the Valley Ladies Chapter of the Indiana Mobile Home Association, Psi Iota Xi Sorority and the Studebaker Drivers Club in both Indiana and Arizona chapters.  She was a member of the Goshen Christian Church and Valley Christian Church where she had wintered for 20 years.  She volunteered for 12 years as a board member for the Elkhart County Fair Board and as an international disaster relief volunteer for the Red Cross.  She had also traveled with a group from Goshen to the sister city in Bexbach, Germany. She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Dan) Pinckert of Goshen and Jean (Cliff) Van Guilder of New Paris; three sons, Mike and Jerry (Patricia) Beck, both of Goshen, and Jim Beck of Topeka; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Feran of North Charleston, South Carolina; and a brother, Joe (Kristine) Hostetler of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 8, and an hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. An 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Kim Huffman of the Goshen Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Christian Church.
