Mary Alice Lehman, 99, Elkhart, died Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Hubbard Hill.
She was born October 16, 1926, in Nappanee, Elkhart County, to G. Maurice and Mabel A. (Bechtel) Long.
On June 22, 1947, she married Paul L. Lehman, in Nappanee. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2022.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy S. (Duane) Beck; two sons, Richard D. (Jolene) Lehman and Charles B. (Becka) Lehman, all of Goshen; five grandchildren, Andy (Julie) Lehman, Heather Beck, Emily (Steve) Burgess, Scott (Hannah) Lehman, and Brent (Rosie Kimball) Lehman; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon K. Baker of Goshen; and a brother, Kenneth M. (Nancy) Long of New Holland, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a great-grandchild, and a great-great-grandchild.
A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Lehman retired after 21 years of service with the Mennonite Board of Missions. She enjoyed painting, reading, and serving in many capacities at the church.
Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2026, from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A private burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mennonite Mission Network, Hubbard Hill Living Wisdom Community, or Belmont Mennonite Church.
