Martin K. Hershberger, 79, of Goshen, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, February 28, 2010, in the emergency room at Goshen General Hospital. He was born in Middlebury on December 5, 1930, to the late Crist and Othney (Gingerich) Hershberger. He married Dorothy M. Hershberger on December 10, 1949 in Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are four sons, Kenneth (Sue) Hershberger, Elkhart, Dale (Deb) Hershberger, Goshen, Wayne (Carrie) Hershberger, Miami, FL, and Galen D. (Lynda) Hershberger, Middlebury; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara (Paul) Miller, Milford, and Sarah (Ray) Rubenstien, Elkhart; and two brothers, John (Betty) Hershberger, White Cloud, MI, and Ernest (Joan) Hershberger, Goshen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Hershberger; and a sister, Keturah Miller. Mr. Hershberger retired as owner and operator of Hershberger Heating, Inc. He had also worked at Town and Country Appliance, Goshen. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2010, will be conducted by Rev. Dwight Gosser, New Life Christian Center, Goshen Burial will be in Clinton Brick Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to the American Kidney Fund.
