Martha M. Boss, 82, of Goshen, passed away Monday afternoon, December 30, 2013, at Greencroft Healthcare where she had been the past eight years. She was born Sept. 13, 1931 in Kalispell, Montana, to Silas and Elma (Sutter) Mast. She married Paul D. Boss on Aug. 8, 1952 in Creston, Montana. He survives along with a daughter, Elvira (Kenny) Burke of Mishawaka; a son, Ernest Boss of South Bend; two grandchildren, Kaitlin (Dan) Buzalski, of Middlebury and Adam Boss of Goshen; a sister, Naomi Mast of Montana; and three brothers, Frank (Donna) Mast and Myron (Vicky) Mast, both of Montana, and Larry (Helen) Mast of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Priscilla Buller. In addition to being a homemaker, she sold Fuller Brush and Creative Circle products for 20 years. Mrs. Boss, along with her husband, moved to Goshen from Kalispell in 1994 to be closer to family. In Kalispell, she was active in the Creston Fireman's Auxiliary and in the sewing circle of the Mountainview Mennonite Church, where she was a member. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and driving in the mountains. Mrs. Boss was very skilled at needlepoint, embroidery and quilting. Locally, Mrs. Boss was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Elkhart. Friends may call from 2 until the 4 p.m., funeral service on Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Terry Zehr, Sunnyside Mennonite Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Kalispell, Montana. Memorial contributions may be given to the Greencroft Foundation.
