Marner Miller

June 24, 1914 — October 7, 2007

Marner Miller, 93, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning October 7, 2007, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born in Brandon, Colorado on June 24, 1914, to Abraham and Lena (Marner) Miller.  He married Lala M. Hoschstetler in Kalona, Iowa on February 16, 1936.  She survives. A Goshen resident since 1946, Mr. Miller owned E-Z Gas and several R.V. and mobile home businesses.  He was a member of College Mennonite Church.  He served on the first Greencroft Board of Directors and on the former Salem Bank Board of Directors. He is survived by his wife, Lala; a daughter, Shirley (Lowell) Miller of Goshen; two sons, David (Barbara) Miller of Mishawaka and Larry (Eleanor) Miller of Strabourg, France; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann (George) Miller-Brunk; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Marlin Miller in November 1994; three sisters, Mabel Bontrager, Lydia Troyer and Velma Yoder; and five brothers, Albert, Ernest, Milo, Ammon and Annas Miller. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 11, in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church. An 11:30 a.m., memorial service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007, at the College Mennonite Church.  Pastors Klaudia Smucker and Rose Widmer, of College Mennonite Church will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite World Conference or Associate Mennonite Biblical Seminary.
