Marlene Bahnsen

April 24, 1948 — April 4, 2013

Marlene Bahnsen, 64, of Elkhart, died Thursday morning, April 4, 2013, at Elkhart Hospice House. She was born April 24, 1948, one of triplets, in Sturgis, Michigan, to G. Dale Fisher and Mildred (Schiele) Fisher Fronk. On March 2, 1991 she married Roger L. Bahnsen. He survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Lisa and Kari Comstack, both of Elkhart; a son, Troy (Paige) Comstack, Constantine, Michigan; four step-children, Jason (Tricia) Bahnsen, Justin (Rhonda) Bahnsen, Heather Bahnsen, all of Waco, Texas, and Ben Bahnsen of Montana; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; triplet siblings, Marilyn (Roger) Bishop of Goshen, and Monte (Marcia) Fisher of Elkhart; a brother, Dennis (Debbie) Fisher, Coldwater, Michigan; and a sister, Donna (Russell) Hanson of Fort Wayne. Mrs. Bahnsen worked in the manufactured housing and R.V. industries, and was also a leasing agent for Hoogenboom Nafziger Realtors. According to her wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association or the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
