Marjorie W. Ruth

Marjorie W. Ruth, 85, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday morning, August 12, 2015, at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born August 31, 1929 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Leo H. and Anna M. (Wiens) Wienss. On November 20, 1953 she married Paul L. Ruth in Beatrice. He died December 2, 2011. Survivors include two daughters, Janet (David Krueper) Ruth of Corrales, New Mexico and Rita Rupp of Goshen; two sons, Douglas Ruth of Sunnyvale, California and Michael (Laura) Ruth of Longmont, Colorado; eight grandchildren and a sister, Carol Epp of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Norma Friesen Mrs. Ruth moved to Goshen in October 2004 from Akron, Pennsylvania where she was a member of the Akron Mennonite Church. She retired as an administrative assistant from Mennonite Central Committee. Currently a member of College Mennonite Church, she enjoyed quilting, needlework, music and birds. Friends may call Saturday, August 15, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gathering Room at College Mennonite Church, Goshen. A Sunday, August 16, 2015 memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. at College Mennonite Church. Memorial contributions may be given to Greencroft Foundation or Mennonite Central Committee.
