Marjorie Hampton

Marjorie Hampton, Goshen, 98, passed away on January 12, 2026, at her home.

She was born March 27, 1927, in Rochester, New York, to Philip and Emma (Durrenbeck) Vaeth.

Marjorie married Robert Hampton on August 26, 1950, in Rochester, New York. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2006.

Surviving are children Scott (Jill) Hampton, and Joan (Steve) Szynal; grandchildren Matt (Diana) Szynal, Katie (Derrick) Isaac, Sam (Nicole) Szynal, Sarah (Dan) McAvoy, Kathy (CJ) Gentry; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, sister, Rosemary VanGraafeiland, and brother, Jack Vaeth.

Marjorie’s wishes were to be cremated. She will be buried at a later date at Violett Cemetery.
