Marjorie N. Gunden, 91, of Goshen and Naples, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at Lutheran Towers, Orlando, Florida.
She was born February 24, 1926 in Hopedale, Illinois to C. Ralph and Katherine (Eichelberger) Nafziger.
On August 2, 1947 she married Elton A. Gunden in Hopedale, Illinois. He preceded her in death Sept. 4, 2007.
Survivors include three daughters, Rebecca (Stephen) Smith of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Barbara (Everett) Thomas of Goshen and Carol Gunden of Winston Salem, North Carolina; a son, Steven (Deborah) Gunden of Naples, Florida; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lynn Nafziger of Goshen.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Springer and Darlene Owen.
Marjorie was a lifelong teacher and educator. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Naples, Florida.
Friends may call Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Pamela Yoder, College Mennonite Church, will officiate.
There will be a Celebration of Life service in Naples at a later date.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Gunden Trust at Goshen College.
