Mariya Yegorova

Mariya Yegorova of Goshen went home to Jesus on September 9, 2020 at age 84.

Mariya was born in the coldest part of Siberia on January 27, 1936.

In 1956, at age 20, she married her sweetheart Volodymyr Yegorov, a coal miner in eastern Ukraine, and they had five children.

As a young adult she found Jesus and brought him into her family. Mariya worked as a nurse’s aide her entire life, serving the helpless and the suffering. At age 58 she lost Volodymyr to cancer, but her light never went out for her children and the grandkids.

In 2005 she moved to the United States to live with her son, Yevgeniy and Nadya Yegorov, and was a member at Slavic Baptist Church in Elkhart Indiana. She lived to see 13 grandkids and 9 great grandchildren!

Mariya’s life was a testimony of her love for Jesus and her family.

A 1 p.m. graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Pastor Viktor Kidun will officiate.
