Marion Wayne Strycker

Marion Wayne Strycker, 89, of Goshen, died Friday afternoon, December 16, 2005, at Greencroft Healthcare.  He had been in failing health the past two years.   He was born October 5, 1916, in Goshen, to Peter F. and Ina Chloe (Hoover) Strycker.  On January 25, 1952, he married Edna Plantinga Fischer.  She died August 14, 1999.   He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945.  He worked as a punch press operator at Johnson Controls, retiring in 1973.   He was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren and AARP.   He is survived by two brothers, Galen B. (Jo) Strycker of Bristol, E. Max (Julie) of Goshen; and three sisters, Audrey Marie (Stanley) Stutsman and Bonnie Hoskins, both of Deming, New Mexico, and Joan W. Hunsberger of Goshen.   He was preceded by his wife, Edna and a brother, Robert C. Strycker.   Friends will be received 1 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 3 p.m. funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Yvonne Riege of Goshen City Church of the Brethren will officiate.   Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen City Church of the Brethren.
