Marion Royce Eyer

Marion R. Eyer, 87, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Elkhart Hospice House.

He was born August 31, 1936 in Goshen, to Harlen and Thelma (Bigler) Eyer.

On April 29, 1961 he married Linda L. Burkhardt in Indianapolis.  She died April 18, 2003.

Survivors include three children, Lois A. (Edward) Clark of Nappanee, Connie S. (Dale) Pollock, of Goshen and Kevin R. Eyer of Elkhart and two granddaughters, Courtney and April Pollock.

A family man, Mr. Eyer always supported his granddaughters in their music and sporting activities.

Mr. Eyer retired in 2020 from Oaklawn, where for more than 40 years he helped transport patients.  He had also farmed, driven truck and been a postal worker.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking.  He was known for the giant pumpkins he grew.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 28,2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Monday from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
