Marilyn N. Swartzentruber, 86, of Goshen, passed away Sunday evening, November 22, 2015 at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born July 9, 1929 in Elkhart County to Vernon L. and Vera (Johns) Stutzman.
One Deember 31, 1954 she married Mervin J. Swartzentruber at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church.
He survives along with three daughters, Julie Swartzentruber of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jo Rogers of Houston, Texas and Jean Reilly of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a son, John (Lauren McKinney) Swartzentruber of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Samantha, McKenna and Ben Reilly and Jack and Will Swartzentruber; two sisters, Margaret Kauffman of Kalispell, Montana and Joan Hershberger of Macon, Mississippi; and two brothers, Leon (Roberta) Stutzman of Littleton, Colorado and Duane (Irma) Stutzman of Goshen.
A member of Benton Mennonite Church, Mrs. Swartzentruber previously was an administrative assistant for Mennonite Publishing House, Scottdale, Pennsylvania for 37 years. After retirement she worked as a courier for Goshen Health System and as an active volunteer at Benton Mennonite Church, Greencroft Goshen, and other community organizations.
Friends may call Sunday, November 29, 2015, from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service at The Meetinghouse on the Goshen Greencroft campus. Pastors Doug Kaufmann and Brenda Meyer will officiate.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and burial will be at a later date in Gracelawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
Memorial contributions may be given to Benton Mennonite Church or Greencroft Foundation.
