Marilyn S. Smith

Marilyn S. Smith, 79, of Goshen, died Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Courtyard Healthcare.

She was born November 6, 1940 in Elkhart County to Minor E. and Lois (Gangwer) Wert.

On January 7, 1966 she married James E. Smith in Benton.  He died January 1, 2014.

Survivors include a son, Gordon E. Smith and a sister, Mary Wert of LaPorte.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Carroll Wert.

A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Smith was a cook at the Oil Lamp and Come and Dine restaurants.

A private burial will take place at Clinton Union Cemetery.
