Marilyn P. Hess

Marilyn P. Hess, 87, of Goshen, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Greencroft Healthcare where she had been the last two weeks.

Marilyn was born June 21, 1930 in Elkhart to Howard W. and Rebecca “Reba” (Griner) Shupp.

She is survived by two children, Rebecca “Becky” Loth of Goshen and David (Diana) Hess of Wakarusa; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Lois Murray of Goshen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Hess; a son, Daniel L. Hess and two sisters, Lucille Koerner and Betty Ullery.

A secretary, Marilyn worked for Lewallen Electric and Maplecrest Country Club.  She was a member of the Goshen Police Auxiliary and Goshen City Church of the Brethren and volunteered as a den leader for the Cub Scouts.

Friends may call Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 1:30 until the 2:30 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Bev Weaver, Goshen City Church of the Brethren, will officiate.

Burial of cremated remains will follow at Hess Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Goshen City Church of the Brethren.
