Marilyn L. Geyer, 90, of Goshen, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born May 5, 1926 in Goshen to Roy and Lucille (Gardner) Markley.
On April 17, 1949 she married Wade C. Geyer in Elkhart. He died August 27, 2011.
Mrs. Geyer is survived by a sister, Annadee Heminger of Goshen; two brothers, Leland (Deana) Markley of Goshen and Raymond Markley of Elkhart; five nieces; two nephews; and good friends and caretakers, Dan and Becky Bales of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and DeVon Kenaga and a nephew, Tom Markley.
A 1944 graduate of Elkhart High School, Mrs. Geyer worked as an accountant for Whitehall Lab, retiring in 1987 after 35 years. She was a past member of Elkhart City Church of the Brethren and attended Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church.
She was the longest living Crohn’s patient in Elkhart County. She didn’t give up on life and loved spending time with family and friends.
A Friday, May 27, 2016, funeral service will be conducted at The Meetinghouse at Greencroft Healthcare starting at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Harold Knight, Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, will officiate.
Burial will be take place Friday, May 27, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting with funeral arrangements.
