Marilyn Lee Baker, 75, of Goshen, died Saturday afternoon, March 24, 2007, at her home after a 5 ½ year battle with cancer. She was born in Goshen on November 19, 1931, to Clyde and Neva (Dewey) Mann. On May 19, 1951, she married Don Baker in Elkhart. He survives. A homemaker and a lifelong Goshen resident, she graduated from Goshen High School in 1949. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Jefferson Brethren Church of Goshen and she loved being a grandma. She is survived by her husband, Don; a daughter, Kathy (Todd) Kretz of Angola; a son, Denny (Deb) Baker of Goshen; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie VanderReyden of Goshen. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Mann, Jr. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., at the Jefferson Brethren Church. Pastor Ron Spyker will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
