Marie Metzler

Marie Metzler, 73, of Goshen died Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Greencroft Healthcare.

Marie was born July 17, 1952 in Elkhart, one of nine children born to Raymond L. and Ruth B. (Chambers) Metzler.

Marie never married. She is survived by her brothers, Allen (Ada) Metzler of Goshen, Stanley (Carol) Metzler of Wakarusa, John (Judy) Metzler of Mesa, Arizona, Donald (Pat) Metzler of Tecumseh, Michigan; and Micheal (Beth) Metzler of Wakarusa; her sisters, Vera (Glenn) Leinbach of Elkhart, and Barb (Rex) Ramer, of Goshen; a sister-in-law, Michelle Metzler, Hobart of Wisconsin, and her large extended family of nieces and nephews and their families that were close to her heart.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Metzler; and sister-in-law, Hazel Metzler; a niece, Nicole Metzler; and a nephew, Sean Metzler.

A 1970 Bethany Christian High School graduate, she attended Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas. Marie worked several jobs and retired as a switchboard operator at a veteran’s hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended the Assembly of God Church, Parma, Ohio while living in Ohio.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and again on Friday, April 17, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral also at the funeral home. Officiants will be Derrick and Megan Ramer, nephew and niece of Marie.

According to her wishes, cremation will take place following service.
