Marie C. Miller

Marie C. Miller, 88, of New Paris, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at her home.

She was born June 18, 1929 in Goshen to Vern and Mildred (Lewallen) Rassi.

On October 19, 1947 she married Floyd Miller at the First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Marsha Milliron of Goshen and Cindy (Gordon) Packer of New Paris; a son, Douglas (Wanda) Woodring of Millersburg; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley (Cornelius) Hoogenboom, and Janet (Edward) Fry, both of Goshen.

Marie was a member of New Paris Missionary Church and recently attended Brenneman Missionary Church. A devout Christian woman, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who had a love for children reflected by her 17 years working at the Brenneman Day Care. She was a 1947 Goshen Redskins graduate and enjoyed making candy with her family.

Friends may call at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018, and one hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Monday, May 21. Rev. Craig Garber, associate at Brenneman Missionary Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be given to a children’s program at a church of the donor’s choice.
