Marianna Maude Stutzman, 93, died Friday morning, March 5, 2010, at her residence at Evergreen Place, Goshen. She has been a resident of Goshen since 1987. She was born in Halstead, Kansas to the late Vernon and Zaidee (Brenneman) Reiff on March 19, 1916. She married Roman Stutzman on October 14, 1939; he preceded her in death on December 30, 1997. An elementary teacher in Elkhart, Mrs. Stutzman attended Goshen College and she was a member of the College Mennonite Church. She and her husband dedicated their lives to programs of the Mennonite Church. They were active in Kansas City, Missouri, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Dintaman Stutzman, Goshen; three grandchildren, Benjamin Stutzman, Goshen, Rebekah (Rob Ripperger) Stutzman, Baltimore, Maryland, Hannah Stutzman, Washington, DC; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Stutzman; and one sister, Virginia Reiff. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
