Marian E. Honick

Marian E. Honick, 93, of Goshen died Friday evening, Dec. 28, 2012 at the Gables at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born February 5, 1919 in Logansport, to James Elroy and Sarah (Shadle) Hay. On May 9, 1943 she married William R. "Bob" Honick, in Logansport. He died in 2002. Surviving is a son, Patrick (Susan) Honick, of Bistol; and three grandsons, Christopher, Benjamin, and Daniel Honick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, William Honick, Jr.; a grandson, David P. Honick; and a sister, Lois Swisher. A graduate of Logansport High School, she was a homemaker and lifetime member at Crosswind United Methodist Church, Logansport. Friends may visit 2 to 4 p.m. Wed. Jan. 2, 2013 prior to a 4:00 p.m. funeral service at the Meeting House at Greencroft Healthcare, led by Pastoral Assistant Pamela Kling. An 11:00 a.m. viewing and committal will be held Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, Logansport. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Greencroft Foundation.
