Marian J. Gingerich, 90, of Goshen, died early Saturday afternoon, June 9, 2012, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She had been in declining health over the past few years. Mrs. Gingerich was born to the late Earl and Jessie (Philhower) Foster, on July 28, 1921 in Buda, Illinois. On September 21, 1940 she married William "Bill" A. Gingerich, in Dennison, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2007. Before moving to Goshen in 1971, Bill and Marian were farmers in Illinois. Upon moving to Goshen Mrs. Gingerich was a homemaker and an employee of Goshen General Hospital for 24 years. She was a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church. She is survived by two sons, Dick (Shari) Gingerich, Keith (Virginia) Gingerich, both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Rick (Robin) Gingerich, Kathy (Mike) Geiger, Diane (Devon) Miller, Mike (Gail) Gingerich; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Foster of Buda, Illinois. Friends may call Tuesday, June 12,from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church. Pastors Wes Bontreger and Katie Cunningham will officiate. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Yellow Creek Day Care Center.
