Maria L. Muntukwonka

Maria L. Muntukwonka, 77, of Goshen died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born in Ploiesti, Romania to Stelian and Maria (Fanake) Petrescu.

On March 18, 1972 she married Barnabas Muntukwonka in Bucharest, Romania.

He survives along with two sons, David (Joan) Muntukwonka of Denver, Colorado and Stelian (Miranda) Muntukwonka of Fishers, and five grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Antim Petrescu.

Maria worked as a structural engineer in Kampala, Uganda and Nairobi, Kenya. She and her husband moved to the Goshen area in 1985, where she worked as a drafter for Bradsko Engineering and a research secretary for Stewart Title. Maria had many interests that included; traveling, cooking, volunteering and reading. She especially enjoyed walks in the woods and was an avid nature photographer.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. No services are planned at this time.
