Maria Barboza De Gallegos

María Barboza de Gallegos, 88, of Goshen, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born March 11, 1936 in Lampazos de Naranjo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to José and Crecenciana (Robles) Barboza.

On August 21, 1961 she married Francisco Gallegos in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

He survives along with four sons, Hector (Cristina) Gallegos, Goshen, Francisco (Norma) Gallegos, Goshen, Marco Antonio (Lourdes) Gallegos, Ligonier, and José Guadalupe (Sofia) Gallegos, Goshen; two daughters, Martha Imelda (José) Manzanares, Goshen, and María de Jesús (Meliton) Lopez, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

María was preceded in death by a brother, José Barboza and a grandson, Jeremy Gallegos.

Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be Saturday, August 3 at 9:00 a.m. Pastor José Luís Gutiérrez will officiate.

Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
