Marguerite A. Pippenger Iffert Unbaugh, 93, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, November 18, 2007, at Courtyard Healthcare where she had been a resident since August 2003. She was born in Warsaw, Indiana, on October 24, 1914, to Rex and Hazel (Banghart) Richcreek. She married Victor Pippenger on June 10, 1934. Following his death she married Daniel Iffert on January 16, 1953. He died January 1, 1977. She then married Harold D. Unbaugh on January 21, 1978. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1999. A Nappanee High School graduate, she was a member of the Union Center Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. Years ago she volunteered at Elkhart General Hospital as a “Play Lady”, one who spent quality time with ill children. She is survived by a son-in-law, John R. Loucks of New Paris; three grandchildren, Roger, Brenda, Cindy, Janet and John M.; two great-granddaughters; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands, a son, James Michael Pippenger in 1962; a daughter, Marilyn Maxine Loucks in 2005; a sister, Maxine Crow; and a brother, James Richcreek. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 20 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. A 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at Union Center Church of the Brethren. Pastor Stan Godfrey of the New Paris Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.
