Margaret M. Williams, 95, of Goshen, passed away, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born November 20, 1926, in Elkhart to Charles and Myrtle (Ebersole) Puterbaugh.
On August 24, 1947, she married Richard P. Williams in Elkhart. He died December 30, 2017.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas (Lynn) Williams of Elkhart and Bradley (Deborah) Williams of Union, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Alissa (Sean) Sauer, Kelsey and Matthew Williams, Taylor, Evan, Bailey and Kennedy Williams and Olivia and Ian Wagner; a great-grandchild, Easton Sauer; and a sister, Winnie Miller of Elkhart.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Blake and Louise Housour and a brother, Alvin Williams.
A graduate of Concord High School, Mrs. Williams was a lifetime member of the Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren. She was an active member of the church, playing piano and organ for many years; helping with teaching and leading music in the children’s department and serving in various positions of the church.
Mrs. Williams studied piano under Ms. Makieliski at the Sherwood Music Conservatory and taught piano for 35 years in her home studio.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 9 to 10 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren, 24955 Co. Rd. 24, Elkhart. Pastors Frank Ramirez, Dean Heisey and Mike Martin will officiate.
A private burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial donations may be given to Elkhart Valley Church of the Brethren.
