Margaret L. Troyer, 86, of Goshen, died early Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. She was born November 8, 1926 in Kosciusko County, to Clifford and Leona (Miller) Welty. She married Donald R. Dorsett, in Goshen, in June of 1955. He preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Willard G. Troyer in 1968, and he passed away in 1987. Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie L. (Art) Kidd, of New Paris, Christine A. (Kevin) Zentz, and Lynee' K. Dorsett, both of Goshen; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Erma Baker, Delores Harmon, Phyllis Sowers, and Laurabelle Bliele; and two brothers, Gerald and Willard Welty. Mrs. Troyer was a member of the D.A.V., V.F.W., American Legion, and life member of the Goshen Moose Lodge. She spent many years as a waitress at local restaurants including; County Seat, Bob Evan's, Plain & Fancy, and hosted at Gordy's. She was president and secretary of her bowling league, and earned a place in the Bowling Hall of Fame. She enjoyed golfing, dancing, and cooking. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Lenny Krebs will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to IU Goshen Health Cancer Center, or the American Heart Association.
