Margaret Joan Mcintire

Margaret Joan McIntire, 79, of Elkhart, died Monday evening, September 3, 2007, at Hubbard Hill Estates after a brief illness. She was born on June 28, 1928, in Logan County, Ohio, to Lott Emanuel and Nelle Grace (McQueen) Hatcher.  She married Harold Phillip McIntire on April 5, 1947, in Richmond, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on July 15, 1985. A member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church, Mrs. McIntire was a homemaker and had lived in Elkhart the past 45 years coming from Rosewood, Ohio. She is survived by two daughters, June (Thomas) Jean of Anchorage, Alaska and Linda McIntire of Elkhart; a son, Daryl P. (Martha) McIntire of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Roger (Ann) Hatcher of Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a daughter, Joyce Eileen in 2002; two sisters, Esta Rolfe and Mildred Hoylman; and a brother, Ray Hatcher. Friends will be received 2 to 5 p.m., Thursday, September 6 at the Jamestown United Methodist Church. A 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at the Jamestown United Methodist Church, 59218 CR 3 South, Elkhart.  Rev. David C. Henry will officiate. A graveside service and burial will be on Friday, September 7, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the Springhills Cemetery, Springhills, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be designated to the Jamestown United Methodist Church.
