Margaret J. Grass, 92, of Goshen,went to be with her Lord while surrounded by family Thursday evening, January 7, 2016 at her home.
She was born September 2, 1923 in Putnam County to Raymond and Edna (McDole) White.
On September 21, 1945 she married Donald Grass in Warsaw. He died in 1983.
She is survived by six children, Rhea Meiring of Monrovia, Teresa (Don) Lechlitner of Goshen, Victor (Cindy) Grass of Sun City, Arizona, Eric (Beverle) Grass of Glendale, Arizona, Jane (Henry) Aldridge of Macon, Georgia and Brenda (James) Russell of Marion, Montana; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Kaser of Elkhart and a half sister, Bonnie Bryant of Kendallville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a half sister, Connie White.
A longtime area resident, Mrs. Grass was a member of West Goshen Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Grass was a prayer warrior and crocheted 75 prayer lap robes for her church ministry.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 12, 2016, from 3 to 7 p.m. and an hour prior to the 10 a.m. Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Norm Replogle of West Goshen Church of the Brethren will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
