Marcus Bowling, Jr.

Marcus Bowling, Jr., 71, died Monday, January 17, 2022 at home.

He was born August 29, 1950 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Marcus and Ethel (Webb) Bowling.

On May 15, 1971 he married Emma Jean Allen in Van Lear, Kentucky.  She died March 17, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Bowling of North Carolina and Randy Bowling of New Paris; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Ricky Bowling of Paintsville, Kentucky.

Along with his parents and wife, Marcus was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Bowling and Donald Bowling.

Mr. Bowling served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971. Following his discharge and marriage to Emma Jean, he moved the family to Goshen in 1973, where he worked for Triangle Rubber Co. as a mill operator.

He and Emma formerly attended The Life Center, a branch of The First United Methodist, Goshen.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory. No other service is planned.
