Marcia E. Miller

Marcia Elaine Miller, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at her current home in The Restoracy in Goshen, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Annas and Ursula (Swartzendruber) Miller.  Born on December 20, 1944, she is survived by her brothers Galen Miller (Sue Neeb) and Loren Miller and sister-in-law Marcile Miller (Francis).  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Ventura and brother Francis Miller.  She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, for whom she cared deeply.

Marcia graduated from Bethany Christian High School and Hesston College.  She earned a degree in social work from Goshen College.  Additionally, she had much advanced training in medical technology.  She worked most of her adult life as a heart echo technician, in Houston, Texas; Iowa City, Iowa; and Goshen.  She also served in Mennonite Voluntary Service in Texas.

Marcia was a quiet and unassuming person.  She was very loyal and loving to her family, caring for her parents as they aged, helping her siblings, and spending hours of time with her nieces and nephews over the years.  She loved to be outdoors.  She enjoyed riding bikes and always made sure there were bikes available for her nieces and nephews.  She enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday school.  She had a very strong interest in genealogy and travelled far and wide meeting cousins from her Miller and Swartzendruber families.

Services will be held at College Mennonite Church, 1900 South Main Street, Goshen, Indiana, on Wednesday, August 20.  Visitation will be at 11 a.m. in the garden.  A service will be held at 11:30 in the Gathering Rooms, followed by a meal.  Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery in Goshen.  Arrangements are being handled by Yoder Culp Funeral Home (yoderculpfuneralhome.com)
