Marcella "Marcie" Wiebe, 89, of Goshen died Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2015 at her home. She was born May 18, 1925 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, to Peter P. and Mary (Linscheid) Franz. On August 16, 1945 she married Abram M. Wiebe in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. He died July 26, 2000. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Hoke, of Goshen, Dr. Rachel (Larry) Sumney, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Dr. Lisa (Robert) Hostetler, of Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania; two sons, Lloyd (Shuling) Wiebe, of St. David, Arizona, and Dr. Douglas (Audrey) Wiebe, of Boulder, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Krause, of North Mankato, Minnesota; and two brothers, Willard Franz, of St. James, Minnesota, and Harris Franz, of New Ulm, Minnesota. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Wiebe, and an infant brother, Harlan Franz. A 1942 graduate of Mountain Lake High School, Marcie also attended Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas and Goshen College. She then turned her attention to raising her family and assisting her husband as co-owner in their photography businesses, Freeman Photo, Freeman, South Dakota from 1956-1969, then Accent Photography in Nappanee from 1969-1986. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 memorial service will be held. Pastor Rachel Nolt of Silverwood Mennonite Church will officiate. A private family committal service will be held at Violett Cemetery.
