Mamie Joan Diaz (Hahn), 53, of Elkhart died Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born January 18, 1970 in Gallipolis, Ohio.

Survivors include her life partner and husband, Alfonzo Diaz; four children, Dustin (fiancé, Bridget Lackey) Arnett and Britney Arnett, both of Goshen, Andrew (fiancé, Rachel Collins) Hahn and Bobbie (fiancé, Dominik Sanderson) Lorenzen both of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard (Melissa) Hahn Jr. and Micheal (Robyn) Hahn of Ohio; four sisters, Tami Gerke, Melinda Fockler, Louella (Bob) Kepner and Jessica (Tom) Hall all of Ohio; an aunt, Karen Wolfrum and an uncle, Mike (Linda)  Adkins of Ohio.

Mamie was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Hahn; her mother, Beverly Hall; a sister, Jackie Cline; and a brother, Ronnie Andrew French.

Mamie was a loving homemaker who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. An avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, she enjoyed watching football games, playing Bingo, scratch off lottery tickets, and watching local Stock Car racing.

She also enjoyed cooking, camping and crochet projects.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1 until the 2 p.m. remembrance service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Tyler will officiate.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp crematory.

Memorial gifts may be directed to the family to assist with expenses.
