Mae V. Von Blon, 97, of Goshen, died Thursday evening, October 4, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital where she had been a patient one day. She was born on August 2, 1910, in Middlebury, to William L. and Beulah (Eldridge) Bloss. On January 10, 1943, she married Paul R. Von Blon in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Middlebury. She preceded her on November 8, 1997. A homemaker and life long resident of the area, Mrs. Von Blon was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen. She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Lester) Stutzman of Manson, Washington; a son, Jeff (JoAnn) Von Blon of Middlebury; a daughter-in-law, Joy R. Von Blon of Goshen; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Cleo York of Goshen and Violet White of Oaklawn, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; a son, John F. Von Blon; a sister, Mary Dowty; and a brother, Lewis B. Bloss. Friends will be received 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, October 7, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2007. Pastor Laura Meier of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen will officiate. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
