Mae Richard Alliman, 88, of Goshen, died early Sunday morning, November 7, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare where she had been the past six years. She was born on January 11, 1922 in Wayland, Iowa to Noah and Anna (Graber) Richard. She married Gilbert W. Alliman on May 31, 1941 in Wayland. He died August 3, 2005. She is survived by a daughter, June (John D.) Alliman Yoder of Goshen; a son, Kirk G. (Jean) Alliman of Louisville, Kentucky; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Robinson of Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clysta Richard and Ruby Telford; and a brother, John Richard. A homemaker, Mrs. Alliman moved to Goshen in 1997, coming from Iowa City, Iowa. She was a member of College Mennonite Church. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 12, in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church, Goshen. An 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, memorial service will be conducted in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church. Pastor Rose Widmer will officiate. Her body will be cremated by Yoder-Culp Crematory and her cremains will be buried in Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Wayland, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary or to the donor’s choice.
