Mable F. Ray

Mable F. Ray, age 78, of Goshen, passed peacefully in the company of family on Monday, October 3, 2016 at her home after an extended illness.

She was born October 1, 1938 in Elkhart to Wilbur and Vera (Kline) Eastman. Mable was the oldest of four children.

She was a graduate of Elkhart Central High School.

On September 3, 1965, she married Ronald R. Ray, and together they raised five children.

Mable was a very vibrant, charismatic wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, and listening to Elvis. She also enjoyed being involved in her community through numerous organizations including membership to the Red Hat Society, the P.T.A, 4-H Leader, Girl Scout Leader, numerous offices for A.C.B.I., and President of Park West Homeowners Association.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ronald R. Ray, her five children Brenda Perron (Wendy), Craig Ray Sr. (Kathy), Mark Ray (Bobbie), David Ray (Joni), and Melinda Freeze (Robb), nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Mike Eastman of Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Steven and Fred Eastman.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service, all at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.
