Lynn M. Smucker, 67, of Goshen, died after a short illness on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born in Smithville, Ohio, on March 28, 1939, to Paul and Ella Pearl Smucker. He married Dorothy Springer on July 27, 1963, in Hopedale, Illinois. She survives. A resident of the area since 1959, Mr. Smucker worked in sales for Willie’s Oakbrook Homes for 40 years, retiring just two years ago. He was a member of the Belmont Mennonite Church, Elkhart. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his mother, Ella Pearl Smucker of Goshen; two sons, Bruce (Carmen) Smucker and Todd (Rhonda) Smucker, both of Goshen; two daughters, Marisa Smucker of Pitts burgh, Pennsylvania and Jacqui Smucker Bostic of Elkhart; and four brothers, Ralph (Cissy) Smucker of Austin, Texas, Alvin (Betty) Smucker of Okemos, Michigan, Mark (Jeanne) Smucker of Indianapolis, and Don (Jane) Smucker of Perrysburg, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Christopher, Madison, Paige, Kelsey and Ashley Smucker, and Lige Jacques and Stasi Bostic. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Smucker. Friends will be received 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2007, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 3:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2007, memorial service will be held at the Belmont Mennonite Church, Elkhart. Pastor Dan Miller of the Belmont Mennonite Church will officiate. A private graveside service will be conducted at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont Mennonite Church Building Fund or Latin American Missions for Roblealto Children’s Home in San José, Costa Rica.
