Lynn E. Oswald

Lynn E. Oswald, 69, of Goshen, formerly of LaGrange died Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Esther’s House – Center for Hospice, Elkhart.

He was born November 4, 1955 in Seward, Nebraska.

On December 20, 1985 he married Wanda Phillips in Goshen.

She survives along with five daughters, Paula Anderson and Christine Cann, both of Illinois, Kathy (Richard Vanacker) Taylor of Elkhart, Alice (Scott) Goodwin of Goshen and Sharon Simcox of Logansport; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon (Gary) Schweitzer of Windsor, Missouri and Virginia (Lon) Carlisle of Cassopolis, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Orie Oswald and Berdean (Stutzman) Jones.

Lynn retired from Indiana Wood Products, Middlebury after 25 years of employment. He enjoyed playing Bingo at the Salvation Army and listening to Karaoke on Fridays at the American Legion in LaGrange.

Lynn received much joy from his family, especially his grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a 12-noon funeral service. Pastors Harold Gingerich and Amanda Moseng will officiate

Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery, Topeka.

Memorial gifts may be directed to the United Methodist Church, Topeka, where Lynn was a member.
