Lydia Ann Giddens, 50, died at home, Monday, May 24, 2010. She had been ill with cancer since 2006. She was born February 21, 1960, in Franklin, Indiana, to Richard and Maria (Raemaekers) Zook of Martinsville. She married Timothy A. Giddens on June 8, 1980, in Martinsville. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jessica (Matthew) Whelan, St. Louis, Missouri; a son, Christopher Giddens, Goshen; a sister, Antoinette (David) Edens, Nashville, Indiana; and a brother, Noah Zook, St. Genevieve, Missouri. A Goshen resident since September 2009, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Life Center, Mrs. Giddens graduated from Martinsville High School in 1978 and in 1980 from IUPUI in Restaurant and Hotel Institutional Management. From 1986 to 2002, she owned and operated Lydia’s Fine Arts and Collectables in Kirkwood, Missouri, where she was known for her dolls. Friends may call 11a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010, at The Life Center, where a 1:00 p.m., funeral service will be conducted. Pastors Ed and Brenda Fritz will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
